Pasties & a G-String: Building Burlesque Basics w/ Patsy Blue Ribbon

You’ll saunter away from this class with the essential skills (and some templates) to build pasties and a g-string–the foundation of a burlesque costume. We will discuss the history of both garments and how they became part of burlesque herstory, how to make pasties and create a couple templates, and de-mystify our legally-required crotch coverings. This class is for beginners or anyone who hasn’t made one or both pieces before. Bring the following for making pastie templates: Fabric shears or scissors Glue designed for use on fabric Pencil (or pen) (Optional for making a panty pattern): A large piece of paper or cardboard Random underwear that fits.
